Although the LVA was primarily designed for trace atmospheric gas applications, it is increasingly being used for trace breath and trace soil gas analysis. In response to the dynamic nature of LVA applications, further options such as the addition of water traps, are available on request to the MS Solutions development team.

The Large Volume Auto-Sampler (LVA) is the second generation of a popular inlet system used primarily for trace atmospheric gases. The standard configuration allows samples with volumes between 250 and 500 ml to be inlet to the MultiGas Valve unit. Once in the valve unit the gases within the sample will undergo automated purification and pre-concentration

The LVA has a 16 position manifold, capable of holding 16 sample bottles. Further bottles may be added by daisy-chaining multiple LVA units together. |
Despite the standard LVA configuration being limited to one type of sample flask, the large range of applications requiring the LVA has meant that we now offer a fully customizable service. Users may specify the position, shape and general configuration of the sample rack and gas inlets & outlets.
